What Is Braces?
At McCaffrey Orthodontics, we provide many different types of braces to West Palm Beach and Boynton Beach, Florida, area patients. The range of braces we have available at our office allows us to provide our patients with multiple treatment plan options. We can discuss which type of braces are right for you and your orthodontic situation.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are the most discreet choice for our patients. They are made of an almost clear material, making them a very popular choice for our adult patients looking for a more cosmetically appealing form of orthodontic treatment. It is important to keep in mind that while they are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, clear braces are more fragile than metal braces and the elastic ties that hold the wire can discolor between appointments.
Invisalign® Aligners
The Invisalign® system is a series of removable clear aligners that are made custom for you as determined by Dr. Kevin McCaffrey. Every two or three weeks, patients progress to the next set of aligners to slowly move teeth into the proper alignment. Invisalign® treatment is a great solution for patients looking to improve their smile discreetly. Our orthodontist can determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign® aligners during your consultation visit to our office.
Invisalign® Teen
Invisalign® Teen is the same discreet way to a perfect smile as Invisalign aligners, with a few modifications for teen patients. With blue-to-clear, color-changing aligners to show how long each aligner has been worn, six free replacement aligners in case some are lost or broken, and other changes designed to accommodate growing mouths, Invisalign Teen is the perfect teeth-straightening system for teens’ busy lifestyles!

Dr. Kevin McCaffrey received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. He then went on to specialize exclusively in orthodontics by obtaining a master’s degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, the highest degree available for orthodontists.
